Horizon Psychological Services offers a free initial phone or in-person consultation with a therapist so we can find out if our services might be a good fit for you.

We accept Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. We are an “out-of-network” provider with some insurance companies. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be covered in full or in part for our services. If you are Out Of Network, we will give you a Superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company to verify how your plan compensates you for mental health therapy services.

Below is list of questions to ask your insurance company to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

  • What is the co-pay for out-of-network mental health services?

  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have?

  • If so, what is the limit?

If you don’t have insurance, or don’t want to use insurance, you can pay directly for services using cash, check or major credit cards. At HPS, whenever possible, we offer low cost, private pay fees based on a person’s ability to pay. Our sliding-fee scale makes high-quality mental health services available to people of all income levels. Our fee scale range is based on your income level and financial situation.
